About Us
"This is the first place my grandkids want to come when they visit me." That was a comment from one of the many local customers who stop by The Candy Emporium for their weekly candy supply.
In just a few short years The Candy Emporium has become a Nashville tradition for both visitors and local folks.
Our History
Originally opened in Louisville, The Candy Emporium moved to Nashville in 1995.
The Candy Emporium had been a part of the candy scene at The Little Nashville Opry for several years when we opened
the store on West Main Street.
That first store was small and when the shop next door wanted to downsize, we jumped at
the chance to expand. In August of 2002, Jeri Powers bought The Candy Emporium.
Who We Are
The Candy Emporium isn’t just about candy and all the other good things you’ll find here.
We’re about family and having fun.
Those of you who have been in our store will remember Betty Goldsmith.
She’s been a smiling face at the store for many years. Store owner Jeri Powers is Betty’s daughter.
Marge (the short one) and Donita (the obviously blonde one) are Jeri's sisters. We’re ably helped by Kate, who has been at the store for two years,
and Craig, a three year veteran who looks forward to working the store when his college schedule allows.
That’s The Candy Emporium staff who enjoy helping you to find just what your sweet tooth craves.
About You
Everyone who enters a candy store becomes a kid at heart, and kids are the heart of our store.
Excited faces peeking over the counter to see what’s on the shelves, pennies and nickels counted out on the floor to
find out just how much there is to spend, small hands clutching paper sacks full of treats--that’s what we’re about at
The Candy Emporium.
So no matter what your age, you’re a kid when you enter our door. Look around, try something new, fill a sack -- but most of all, have fun while you’re here.
We Listen
We’d like to hear from you. This new web site is a work in progress and we’d like to know what you think of it.
Is there a special candy you’ve looked for and can’t find? Let us know and we’ll try to find it.
We have plans for a newsletter. Our newsletter will also let you know what candies are not being made any more, so
you can quit searching for it such as that old favorite known as moth balls. Sorry, it’s not being made any longer,
but there’s still a world of candy to choose from. And The Candy Emporium family wants to share it with you. Have a sweet day! |
